Smasher is of great size and weight. Very good quality. I clean it and put a fine layer of cooking oil on it before storing in a gallon size plastic bag.

This thing is pretty much perfect – it perfectly fits my little cast iron pan and is nice and heavy so my smash burgers got nice and crispy. The wood handle keeps it from getting too hot so I can use it without an oven mitt. It makes cooking the burger quick and evenly very easy and is so easy to smash the meat into a nice, flat, crispy burger. I also used it as a tofu press and it worked beautifully for that as well.

Very solid
This is an excellent cast iron burger press. Have only used it a few times since I got it and has been great so far. The bottom is flat which is ideal for smash burgers. It’s not pre seasoned but on something like this I would worry about doing so. They say it’s not oven safe and that would be because of the wooden handle. You could season it if you want by taking off the handle but it’s not necessary. If you need to wash it then do so and hand dry it thoroughly. You should be using parchment paper when you’re making smash burgers using any burger press. This has been a great product so far. Take care of it and it’ll take care of you in future cooks.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Smasher. Einfach kleine Hackbällchen zu je 125g formen, auf die Plancha legen und mit dem Smasher platt drücken. Funktioniert astrein und man kann die Dicke damit super regeln. Habe davor so einen Pattyformer benutzt, das war weitaus arbeitsintensiver und fummeliger als der Smasher jetzt und funktioniert vor allem auch für die großen Buns.
